Roberto Spagnolo is very famous in
South Italy for his important collaborations with “Bari
Jazz Studio Orchestra” and “Orchestra
di Musica Improvvisata Citta' di Catanzaro”.
He was born in Taranto, Italy in 1965 starting since child to
play guitar and keyboard.
In 1984 discovering the Jazz sound
he started his first studies on clarinet and get Diploma
in 1992 at Liceo Musicale in Taranto.
In 2003 get the Classic Saxophone Diploma at Foggia
Conservatory under the direction of M° Paolo De Benedetto.
He also attended Jazz Workshops with George Garzone,
Gianluigi Trovesi, Pietro Tonolo and others.
In 1994 he get the professional qualification as “musicista
jazz e derivazioni contemporanee”.
Resume
From 1995 he has been increasing his professional activity as
jazz musician as well as in Latin, Funk, Rhiythm & Blues bands.
He played with Bob Mover, Van Washington, Matt Demeritt,
Tony Scott, Eddie Daniels, Bepi D'Amato, Randy Brecker, Norberto
Tamburrino, Paolo Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso, Marco Tamburini, Lew
Tabakin, Dave Liebman, Josh Roseman, Piero Odorici, Giorgio Gaslini,
Mathias Ruegg, Francesco Mariella, Rossana Casale, Mario Rosini,
Tiziana Ghiglioni and many others.
He performed in important Jazz Festivals in Reggio Calabria,
Altamura (BA), Lecce , Catanzaro and others.
