WHAT YOU WRiTE
TO JAZZ PIANO

-October 2012
Jerry D. Tiberi , guitarist • Norberto I checked out Lovely Tunes. I really like your playing. I hear some if my favorite pianists in your playing yet its definitely your own sound.... Your left hand is beautiful--not busy at all ala Bill Evans. Also you have just the right amount of Monk in your playing which is a compliment. Bill Evans + Monk is what I hear in your music + Norberto. I love it!

-March 2011
Scott Albin says:" I enjoyed Thanks for the Riff music

-November 2010
Gerlando Gatto:
"Norberto Tamburrino e' un eccellente pianista di cui ho spesso parlato su questo sito.." da OnLine-jazz.net

"I am faithful listener of your music and I'd like to share with my radio station listeners your extensive stock of music. Your work is a valuable contribution to my human and cultural growth. Thank you very much." Gustavo Adolfo Bustamante at Ritmos en Jazz-Colombia

About Reflection(s) on Monk: December 02, 2008 " You should know that I receive a lot of music to listen too and I have to say that I really enjoyed your piano playing, tune selection, band personnel and arrangements. This is a first class production all the way."

BIO
Norberto Tamburrino realized more than 70 original compositions for prestigious labels (Arabesque, Art Notes, Philology, Splasc(h)).
The name of Italian pianist, composer Norberto Tamburrino came out in the jazz scenes since his second Album “Prigioniero del Mare-Prisoner of the Sea”, realized in 2007 for Arabesque Recordings , entering in the Popular Music as Jazz Classic work.

CRITICS SAID: " ...Tamburrino occupies the same rhythmic sensibility as Monk ; playing alone, he moves around the piano with just those pensive, eccentric footsteps, clatters, trips..” -Prigioniero del Mare by Jay Deshpande, All About J...azz-March 2009
"..Norberto projects true love for jazz music through his playing and has the right touch for jazz piano.."-Richard Henry on Worldwide Jazz-January 2011

“.the pianist leans toward
Horace Silver's rhythmic spunk ("Latin Way..), Dave Burrell's playful revisionism and Bud Powell's linear drive; a live trio ends the album, bouncing straight-eight Lennie Tristano on "All The Things You Are".Tamburrino's Monkery shine broadly in unreconstructed rag and stride motifs and genial, spiky lyricism..”.-Globe Unity by Fred Bouchard, All About Jazz New York -July 2009-

“..
Tamburrino's piano playing, heavily influenced by Thelonious Monk, is ripe with percussive clatter and arpeggiatedflour. Indeed, the inclusion of Monk's ...overlooked ballad "We See" demonstrates Tamburrino's thorough understanding of the familiar nuances associated with the late pianist..”
